I am thankful for a day of relaxation yesterday, the amazing feedback my latest recording efforts have garnered, the wonderful friends and family that contributed and gave encouragement, getting to work early enough to have the place to myself for a bit, and my beautiful wife.
I am thankful for reasonable people, music, Quantum Leap, Tuesday, and C#.
I am thankful for Alan, Lee, Nicky, Ray, Jenny, Marcus, Andy, H, Harry, Anjali, Chas, Dave, Stu, Gary, and the many others who have collaborated, encouraged, inspired and suffered while I found my singing voice, the experiences I had on stage with them, the friends that came to gigs, the time everyone sacrificed at rehearsals, and the Sunday night jam sessions that were often the highlight of my week during my last two years of university.
We went and saw The Wolverine. I cannot be thankful for that script. The plot was OK, the cast were great, but that script. Oh dear, what a shame.
I am thankful for getting to see The Odd Couple tonight with Chrissy, for making it to the gym again, for finding time to read, for being able to read, and for the way our garden (yard) is shaping up now that I have a gardener.
I went out to the Monroe County Fair with some good friends and watched monster trucks. It was a lot of loud fun. I completely forgot to post some gratitude though. However, I learned that agricultural shows here are pretty similar to the ones back in England, except for the monster trucks. Those are different, in that there are some.
I am thankful for getting the grocery shopping done with a decent amount of self-control in the face of cake, chips and delicious badness, for a fun night watching Bond and Arrested Development with Chrissy, for a great time at the monster trucks last night with Matt and Tom, for a nice cup of tea, and for the digestives Chrissy sneakily bought last night.
